Jeffrey Myles

May 9, 1962 — June 16, 2021

Chief Master Sergeant Jeffrey “Jake” Myles was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to the union of Mary Louise Myles and the late Warren Myles, Sr. on May 9, 1962. Jeffrey was the youngest of 4 brothers; who called him “baby” brother. He started out in Church as a toddler in Sunday School. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by Rev. James W. Young at Second Nazareth Baptist Church in New Orleans, Louisiana. After graduating from High School, he shortly after entered the United States Air Force where he served admirably for 30 plus years. He enjoyed working, achieving, and celebrating life until the severity of his illness forced him into full retirement where Jesus Christ was patiently waiting. Jeffrey departed this life on June 16, 2021, in Houston, Texas by answering the divine call from Heaven which was the eternal voice of God that transformed him from mortality to immortality. As he entered into the Lord’s peaceful, eternal rest, he became “absent from the body and present with the Lord’ to live forever more. He was preceded in death by his father, Warren Myles, Sr; his brothers, Warren Myles, Jr., and Master Sergeant, Aaron Earl Myles; and brother in law, Franklin Alcantara. Jeffrey leaves his devoted wife, Barbara (Bobbie) Myles; son, Jay Alcantara; his mother, Mary L. Myles, brother, Derron Myles and wife Maria; cousin, Sondra Mullins; in- laws, Rosario Alcantara, Alma Alcantara, Arlene and John Garrett, Judy and Jose Soriano, Lucy Lagos, Jean and Tony SanNicolas, Benjamin Alcantara, Vivian and Ruben Barrera, Raynold and Joyce Alcantara, Irene Alcantara and Steven Sanchez, Bertha and James Taijeron; grandchildren, Jasmine Alcantara, Kaulana Pratt; goddaughter, Ashley Duffins; childhood friends/ brothers, Russell Duffins, Darryl Shelly, and Tyrone LeBlanc; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many loved ones and friends to cherish his wonderful memories.
