Timothy Morales

March 6, 1955 — February 19, 2023

Timothy Harold Morales, 67, peacefully passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, February 19, 2023.  Tim was born on March 6, 1955 in Dallas, Texas  but was raised and lived in San Antonio, and later moved to Schertz.

Tim graduated from South San Antonio HIgh School and attended St. Mary’s University.  Tim began his computer technical career at Datapoint and ended it as a Customer Success Account Manager at Microsoft.

Tim loved to cook, travel, and had a keen eye for fashion.  The highlight of the holidays for the family was his famously delicious ham.  He came up with a concoction of jams and spices for a glaze that made the ham so tasty.   You could always find him in the kitchen experimenting with different recipes and adding ingredients to make it uniquely his own.  Tim’s career allowed him to travel throughout the world and he always looked forward to his next assignment to see where it would take him.  Tim was always dressed to the tee even when going to the grocery store.  Tim became a “personal shopper” for friends because he had the knack of coordinating just the right look.

Tim was the master of connecting with people.  He would listen intently when having a conversation and pick up on something that he might have in common and then “bang” he could talk for hours quoting facts on any particular subject.  Tim’s sense of humor was also very unique.  He loved puns and would tell corny jokes with a straight face and wait for the reaction.  He enjoyed sharing fun/strange/quirky facts with family and friends.

Tim is survived by Gloria, his wife of 45 years; brother-in-law Carlos Perez; sister-in-law Elvira Perez Ayala; aunt Emma Payne; cousins Elizabeth (Joel) Bouldin and Catherine (Mark) Wolff; nephews John (Sylvia) Perez, Paul (Laura) Perez, and Adrian (Karina) Ayala; nieces Heather Krebsbach, Gloria (David) Mayorga, Helma (Don) Tarver, and Marisa (Patrick) Ayala; numerous great nephews and nieces; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Virginia Hinojosa Jimenez.
