Terry Harris

Terry Alan Harris, age 70, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at his home in Schertz, Texas. He was born on October 26, 1951 to James Leland and Reba Harris in Raymondville, Texas. He grew up on a cotton and grain farm in Lyford, Texas. He graduated from Southwest Texas State University and had a long career in landscaping/maintenance. He was an active member of Bracken United Methodist Church for 42 years. In his retirement, he enjoyed golfing, pickle ball, and traveling. He was a loving husband, father, Pappy, and friend who will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Rhona Wiley Harris; his daughters April (Christopher Tobola) of Tomball and Alissa (Jarrod Brogdon) of San Antonio; grandchildren Breven, Kaydence, and Rylen Tobola, Rote and Ames Brogdon; his brother Roger Harris (Jan); and nieces and nephews.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents.

The Visitation will be at Schertz Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 pm, Sunday, September 18, 2022. The Funeral Service will be held the following day, Monday, September 19, 2022 at Schertz Funeral Home at 10:00 AM. There will be a funeral procession following the Funeral Service to Bracken Community Cemetery for the Graveside Service with a reception to follow at Bracken United Methodist Church.

Donations can be made in memory of Terry to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Bracken United Methodist Church.
