Randall Harris

October 28, 1953 — April 24, 2022

Randall Moore Harris, 68, passed away on the afternoon of April 24, 2022 in San Antonio, TX surrounded by family.

Randy was born in Refugio, TX on October 28, 1953 to Geraldine and Herselle Harris. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1972 and attended Southwest Texas State University. Randy married his college sweetheart, Linda Karen Martin, in 1981. The couple welcomed a son, Ryan, in 1987.

Randy worked for Terex Corporation for over 20 years until he retired in January 2017. After retiring, he and Linda traveled to many of their favorite places and loved taking day trips to many South Texas towns.  He made many good friends over the years and was well-known for his kindness and desire to always have a good time. He will be deeply missed by everyone. He loved his San Antonio Spurs and always went all out decorating the house for Christmas every year (winning many prizes in the Windcrest Light Up- including Best of Theme). He loved his dogs, Bode and Apolo and his grandpuppy, Jackson. After honeymooning in Breckenridge, CO, he and Linda returned there often. Randy frequently visited New Orleans, it was always a party, especially with Ryan, Linda, and cousins, Mike and Dave. Most summers you could find him on the Texas coast catching some sun. On a typical day at home you’d either find him meticulously working on his already perfect yard or making enough delicious BBQ to feed the entire family. He also loved playing a spirited game of Old Maid with his oldest niece, Madison.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Harris. Son and best friend, Ryan Harris. Sister, Pam Doty and husband Neal. Cousin, Michael Moore. Aunt and uncle, Jeanne and Glen Moore. Sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Christi and Jr. Tamez. Nephews, Brad and Brian Howard, Hunter Tamez and wife Emily. Nieces, Andi Daniels and husband Mike, Leah Kunz and husband Daniel. He especially loved his great nieces, Madison, Adeline, Ellie and Hannah. There are many other family members that he loved dearly, too numerous to count. He is preceded in death by his parents, Geraldine and Herselle Harris and his cousin and partner in crime, David Moore.
