Maxie Neece

Maxie Altrue Neece passed away peacefully at home and delivered into the hands of God on May 25, 2022, at the age of 92.  Maxie was born on September 7, 1929, to parents Rommie T Duncan and Dovie L Duncan in Pulaski County, Virginia.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold K Neece, her brothers Evans H Duncan, Rommie E Duncan, and Carl T Duncan. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Michael and Cheryl Neece of Henderson, Texas, her daughter and son in law, Michele and Christopher Thomas of San Antonio, Texas, her sister Marie A Simpkins and her brother Bernard L Duncan, who both live in Virginia.  She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Maxie was a military wife and she and her husband were able to see many parts of the world, but she was never happier than being able to spend time with her cherished family. You would also find her at church every Sunday praising her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ until her health no longer permitted.


A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at 9:30 AM (Shelter #4) at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
