Keith Ray Thurman, age 58 of Cibolo TX, was born at Tachikawa Air Base, Japan on May 6, 1964 and passed away in San Antonio TX on Thursday, June 9, 2022. He is survived by his mother Jo Thurman; brother and sister-in-law, Mark & Xochitl Rogers; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne & Michelle Thurman; nephews Derrick Rogers, Kyle Thurman, and Paul Thurman; mother-in-law, Lucy Rincon; and sister-in-law and her husband, Ben & Alicia Wiggins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandy Rincon Thurman; father, Gerald (Jerry) Thurman; and father-in-law, Joe Rincon. Keith graduated from Samuel Clemens High School in 1982 and attended Southwest Texas State University. He worked in the restaurant business for 35 years in various positions from cook to manager to owner. He was a part owner of the Martindale Garden Café in Martindale, TX and K.G. Kats in Garden Ridge, TX. For the last eight years, Keith has owned his own remodeling/handyman business Thurman Enterprises. He loved the Lord, his family, friends, music, the Dallas Cowboys, and helping everyone he met. He played bass guitar in numerous local bands over the past 40+ years. He also played bass guitar in the orchestra at First Baptist Church in Universal City where he worshiped.
Visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 9:00pm on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Schertz Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 10:00am Friday, June 17, 2022 at First Baptist Church Universal City. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery after the Service with a reception back at First Baptist Church.
