Keith Nelson

Keith Eugene Nelson (AKA BEARE), 74, of Schertz, Texas, died Saturday, April 30, 2022 at North East Methodist Hospital, with his family by his side. He was born December 20, 1947 in Mason City, Iowa to Ruth and Selmer Nelson. He graduated from West High School June 1965.

Beare enlisted in the United States Air Force in August 1965 as a Weapons Control System Technician. He was stationed in AFB Tucson, Az. and AFB Yokata Japan. He loved serving his country and was honorably discharged in August 1971. Beare continued serving his country proudly worked for Civil Service for 40 years and retired in 2016.

Beare was an avid supporter and donated to numerous organizations such as Wounded Warrior Project, Americas Vet Dogs, 4 Oceans and Schertz local Fire Department. His main hobby was purchasing and selling land throughout the country.

Beare is survived by his wife, Candace; sister, Sheila; sons, Michael, Kenneth, Robert; stepson Kevin (Caroline) Hooker; daughter-in-law, Welma; three granddaughters, Katelyn, Vivian, Carissa; pet dogs, Bart and Olivia, as well as numerous friends.

Beare especially will be remembered for his infectious smile, big hugs and love of family. Devoted husband, father, grandfather and pet owner. My God continue to bless you all and may Keith E. Nelson Rest In Peace.
