Jeffrey Hansell

November 2, 1956 — January 12, 2023

Jeffrey Blaine Hansell was born on November 2, 1956 to Blaine Holmes Hansell and Mary Jane Hansell as an only child. On the morning of January 12th, he lost his seven-year battle with dementia. His life was an example of devotion, servitude, and God's unfailing grace.

Jeffrey and Glenda married on February 24th, 1983, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and he instantly became the father of four boys (Bobby, Scott, Brian, and Chad). He dedicated the next 39 years in marriage and to raising four fine young men.

He joined the United States Air Force in 1975 and completed 25 years of distinguished service as a Bio Environmental Engineer Tech. After the military, he worked for Northrup Grunman, Karta and as Chief of Industrial Hygiene at Fort Benning, Georgia. Always a lifelong learner, Jeff received an Associates in Applied Science from the Community College of the Air Force, a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Education from Wayland Baptist University, and his Masters of Science from University of Texas at San Antonio.

Jeff is survived by his wife Glenda Hansell and his four sons and daughters-in law; Bobby and Ana Day, Scott and Jodi Day, Brian and Trisha Day, and Chad and Christi Day. His grandchildren and their spouses; Amber and Matt Meyer, Justin and Jenny Edmission, Dylan and Deaunna Day, Ashli and Lorelee Eyre, Brittany Day and fiancé Moses Gonzales, Alex Day, Alana and Manuel Mainato, Caitlyn Day, Caryn Hudson-Brown, Yves Batican, Brandon Baker and fiancée Madalyn Shockley, and Brent Baker. And his great-grandchildren; Jasper, Rose, Katy, Arianna, and Gabriel, Jensen and Verona, Xiomara, and Everlee.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents Blaine Holmes Hansell and Mary Jane Hansell. He will be always loved and forever missed.

A Graveside Service will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 9:45 AM.
