Herlinda Castellano

Herlinda Martinez Castellano known to most as Linda went off to be with the Lord on Monday, January 16th, 2023. She was 66 years old. Her birthday is February 2, 1956. She will be celebrating in heaven with her beloved mother Juanita Martinez Garza, her niece, her stepbrother, her tia's and the many cousins who have passed before her.

Linda was born in San Antonio, TX. Then, moved to Schertz, TX which was home to her. She then moved to El Paso, TX. where she lived for 8½ years.  She loved family time, laughing with everyone and asking tons of questions.  She loved listening to her oldies every Sunday. She was obsessed with birthdays and would remember every single birthday that was ever told to her. She was truly one of a kind.

She is survived by her daughter Sara Castellano,  her grandsons Carlos Carranza, Jacob Carranza,  Adrian (AJ) Carranza,  Jayson Carranza and her granddaughter Jennieve (Jenna) Carranza and three great grandchildren.  Sisters Sally Mccumber,  Elena Acosta, Diane Rincon and Jaine Garza. Stepbrothers Sylvester Garza,  Steve Garza and Raphael Garza. Along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She will be missed and will remain in our hearts forever.

The family will have a private viewing, Friday, Feb. 3, 2023, at the Schertz Funeral Home from 4- 5 pm, and a public viewing from 5-7 pm. The Rosary will be held at 7pm. Service will be conducted at the funeral home at 10am on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023, followed by a graveside service at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery in Selma, TX.

In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations to be made to the gofundme account that has been set up to bring her home, from El Paso, TX  to Schertz, TX and for funeral services.
