After an eight month battle against pancreatic cancer, Glenda Marie Lehnhoff, 68, of Universal City, Texas, went to be with the Lord our Savior on Saturday, April 22, 2023. She was born and raised in Devine, Texas and graduated from Devine High School in 1972, later graduating from Texas A&M in 1976. Upon graduation, she worked at the University of Texas Health Science Center as a research lab assistant. Three years later, she met and married her husband, Robert and together they raised their two children, Scott and Robin. Once the kids started school, Glenda worked as a computer instructional aide at Rose Garden Elementary School in Schertz Cibolo Universal City ISD. She then became the Athletic Secretary for over two decades. The Schertz Cibolo Universal City ISD stadium bears Glenda and husband, Robert's names. Upon retirement, she became a full-time grandmother and was heavily involved at Madison Hills Baptist Church.
Glenda is preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Weldon Alvis "Butch" Roberson. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Lehnhoff; son, Scott Lehnhoff with wife Megan of New Braunfels, Texas; daughter, Robin with husband Daniel Buck of Cibolo, Texas; grandchildren, Landri Lehnhoff, Rex Lehnhoff, Ty Lehnhoff, Ethan Buck and Avery Buck; brothers, Russell Roberson with wife Janet of Devine, Texas, Gary Roberson with wife Deb of Menard, Texas; brother and sister-in-law Mark and Kim of Lake Jackson, brother-in-law Ernst of San Antonio, Texas, brother and sister-in-law Mickey and Kathy of Kerrville, Texas and sister and brother-in-law Margaret and Robert Doubrava of Beeville, Texas; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends - including an entire community of loved ones from SCUCISD.
A Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 5:00PM - 8:00PM at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Service, being officiated by Pastor Robert Bennett, will take place on Friday, April 28, 2023 at 9:30 AM at Madison Hills Baptist Church. The Graveside Service is to follow at 1:00 PM at Howard Cemetery in Devine, Texas with reception at Black Creek Baptist Church in Devine, Texas immediately after.
