Fama June Trotter, 84, of Marion TX, went to be with the Lord on November 2, 2022.
June was born on May 8,1938 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma to AJ and Opal Stewart.
After graduating South San High School in San Antonio, June moved to California to further her career. It is there that she met and married Ronald H. Trotter. Later, she and Ron moved back to Texas and opened and operated their own business, Eldorado Hose and Gasket.
June was a long-term member of Schertz Church of Christ and loved her church family.
Her devotion to her parents was inspiring to all. She enjoyed gardening. She especially enjoyed caring for their donkeys and miniature horses. In their spare time, she particularly enjoyed the road trips she and Ron took to the Hill Country.
June was preceded in death by her parents - AJ and Opal Stewart, her brother, Leroy Stewart, and most recently her beloved husband, Ronnie.
She is survived her brothers- Arvel Jay Stewart (Brenda), Stanley M Stewart (Dixie), and Mark D Stewart (Lisa). She also leaves numerous nieces and nephews who affectionately knew her as “Auntie June” as well as Gina Marie and Gennaro Bonfiglio, children and grandchildren.
June passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family. She was a Warrior! She fought her lengthy battle with cancer with Grace, Dignity, Elegance and Courage. She was blessed to be cared for by her beloved, “Sis”, Dixie, who is eternally grateful for the love, help, and support she received from Joann Hamm, Missy Stewart, her sister- Dee Dee Lambert and her nieces, Melissa Bendele and Stacey Stewart Hammer.
A Visitation for Fama will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Schertz Funeral Home. There will be a Funeral Service held the following day on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Schertz Funeral Home followed by a funeral procession to Mission Park North Cemetery for the Graveside Service.
