Delma Crouch

July 14, 1944 — March 28, 2022

Delma Bass Crouch of Cibolo, Texas passed away on March 28th, 2022. She was born to father Aubrey Bass and mother Ethel Norwood Bass on July 14th, 1944 in Leesville, Louisiana. She lived in Alexandria, Louisiana until she moved to Cibolo in 2021.

A graduate of Hicks High School in Hicks, LA, she continued a career in education in the Rapides Parish School System, where she served as the Cafeteria Manager for Pineville Elementary School and was known and loved to generations of children that passed through her lunch line until her retirement.

She was married 59 years to the love of her life, Homer Crouch. Their love was a storybook kind of love and an inspiration to all that knew them. They were inseparable to the end.

Delma had many passions, of which included cooking and gardening. Her yard won awards for most beautiful by the City of Pineville. But her greatest passion was her role as mom to her two children and “MaMa” to her 8 grandchildren. She loved her family and hosting family gatherings – especially Christmas. She made home magical – inside and out. She would have been an inspiration for Martha Stewart herself.

She is preceded in death by her parents Aubrey and Ethel Bass, Son Rodney Lynn Crouch (Melborne, FL), and Sister Olla Mae Wellman (LaCamp, LA).

She is survived by her husband Homer Crouch, Daughter Stephanie Sarver (James), 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, her brother Alton Bass (Edna) of Kinder, LA, and sister Lavada Pennock of Shreveport.
