Obituary

Daniel Ben Niemietz Jr., 75, of Cibolo, Texas, passed away on February 25th, 2023 of natural causes. Daniel was born on November 5th, 1947 to his parents Daniel B. Niemietz Sr. and Viola E. Niemietz in San Antonio, Texas.  At the age of 19, he started his first job at Biela’s Glass & Aluminum Products as a Glazier.  He dutifully enjoyed a 46-year career as a glazier, all of which were at Biela’s.  In 1968, Daniel married Karen Pomeroy. Daniel and Karen went on to raise 3 beautiful daughters, Melody, Tina, and Rachelle.

Daniel is survived by his daughters Melody Briley, Tina Niemietz, Rachelle Niemietz; Siblings Fred Niemietz and Barbara Niemietz. He was blessed to have 11 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Daniel Niemietz Sr. and Viola Niemietz and his brothers Eddie Niemietz and Joey Niemietz.

In 2013, Daniel decided to devote his time to his family. He completed hundreds of pages of mandala styled coloring books, as he found it to be relaxing and peaceful.  He aimed to become an expert at the local weather and could often predict a storm even before his favorite weatherman.  He was also a devout Catholic, very strong in his faith, and a lifelong member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Schertz.  He was proud to regularly sing in the church choir and often volunteered for various church events. Daniel is loved dearly and will be missed sincerely.
