Danica Kaprosy

Danica Summer Kaprosy, 17, of Selma,Texas passed away on July 20, 2022.  She was born on June 21, 2005, in San Antonio, Texas to Daniel R. and Veronica G. Kaprosy.

Danica was a senior at Veteran’s Memorial High School. She worked at Garcia’s Mexican Restaurant as a hostess.  She had many interests like her love for music; Lil Peep, XXtentacion, The Weekend, and including playing piano and violin.  She loved to play volleyball at school and at Sideliners with family and friends. She also had a love for art like painting and drawing.  Danica loved to work and save money. She loved the water and swimming. Most of all she loved to be in her room, it was her sanctuary.  She loved hanging out with her boyfriend Matt Solis and his family.  She also enjoyed spending time with her best friend, Cameron Moncivaiz and his family.

Danica Summer was loved and will be missed by all.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Alex O’ Guzman and Nilda C. Guzman.

She is survived by her parents, Daniel and Veronica; godparents, Noemi G. Gonzalez and Bobby M. Gonzalez.  sister, Sydney R. Canedo; nephew, Shawn Jr.; niece, Italee Grace; grandmother, Sonia (Sergio) Trejo; aunts and uncles, Roxanne M. (Esteban) Calderon, Valerie G. (Don) Hoyt, Michael Kaprosy, Lydia (Robert) Torres; cousins, Alex G., Lorenzo, Zion, Izaeah, Ilycia, Ronnie I. Davila jr., Gabriela (Bila) (Uli) Garcia, Bobby, Alex T., Jessica, Kassandra, and Karina.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Schertz Funeral Home.  Memorial Service will follow at 12:00 pm.  Burial will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022, at 10am at Holy Cross Cemetery, 17501 Nacogdoches Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78266.
