Charles "Xan" Coronado

May 6, 2008 — October 4, 2022

Charles Alexander Coronado, Xan to family and friends, passed away in Cibolo on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at the age of 14.  He was born in San Antonio, TX on May 6, 2008, to loving parents Charles Anthony & Harmony Klara (Fischer) Coronado.  Xan had a passion for traveling, gaming, JDM cars, nature and art. Xan experienced his first unaccompanied flight this summer when he visited his cousins in Tennessee. It was the highlight of his summer.  One of his favorite places to enjoy nature was in the mountains of Colorado.  He couldn’t get enough of the snow unless he wasn’t wearing his gloves. He felt at home there and wanted to live there as an adult. Texas summers were also special when he could get to the beach or better yet, Schlitterbahn.  His favorite ride being the Boogie Bahn Surfing Ride. He spent most of his day on that ride until he mastered it and would entertain the crowds with his tricks and feats.  Xan loved the attention and was quite a showman.  He could entertain people in this public venue or private with his countless jokes and silliness.  He was looked up to by his younger cousins who loved this about him. He was good at charming his audience.  His love of JDM cars and gaming went hand in hand. He wanted to drive and the closest he could get to that was through his video games and driving his go-cart. He surrounded himself with many models of JDM cars and one day wanted to take what he practiced driving his go-cart and playing video games and put the rubber to the road in a JDM car.  Xan did not hide his talents and looked forward to his next masterpiece.  He shared his art with family and friends.  Xan enjoyed working with acrylics, watercolors, alcohol inks and pens of every kind.  Xan cherished being with family, which made the holidays special.  Each holiday had a unique detail that he looked forward to.  His favorite holiday was all the magic that Christmas brought him; family, food, gifts, lights and decorations. He soaked it all in and shared his excitement and delight with everyone.  Xan was a caring, thoughtful, helpful young man. He would volunteer in the kitchen and around the house.  The main place he preferred to volunteer was at the annual Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church festival’s Trash & Treasure.  He would help customers find and item and carry their new treasures to their car.  His joyful, energetic attitude was contagious.  On his down time, Xan enjoyed watching movies, hanging out with friends and family, and mostly watching “The Office”.  He regularly quoted his favorite show and was especially fond of anyone who knew where the quote came from.

Xan is survived by his parents - Charles Anthony & Harmony Klara Coronado; pet – Snowball; grandparents – Rolando & Donna Coronado, Karen Marx Fischer Shirley; uncles – Dylan Fischer (Nina), Christopher Coronado (Tim); aunts – Ashley Throneburg, Chelsea Obuch (Zachary), Melody Morton (Christopher), Chloe Ureste, Miranda Throneburg and numerous cousins and family members.  Xan is preceded in death by grandfather – Ken “Papa” Fischer; great-grandparents – Jerry & Roberta Bortel, Fernando & Dolores Coronado, Edgar & Clara Marx, Waymond Fischer & Mildred Koenig.
