Beverly Moore

October 8, 1946 — April 13, 2022

Beverly Carolyn (DeShazo) Moore (formerly Beverly Stoltz) went to be with the Lord at age 75 on April 13th, 2022 due to complications related to pulmonary fibrosis. She was born October 8th, 1946 in Roscoe, Texas to Thomas Jefferson “Jeff” DeShazo and Georgia Louise Forkner DeShazo.  She graduated from Snyder High School in 1965 and later went on to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree from Southwest Texas State University where she was a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society. She has been a part of the community of San Antonio and Schertz, Texas since 1979. Beverly spent most of her life caring for the elderly and was a member of the American and Texas Associations of Homes and Services for the Aging. She progressed from a Licensed Vocational Nurse to a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator throughout the course of her career. She had one daughter, Misti Daun Stoltz, and was an adoring grandmother who loved cooking, baking, and hosting holidays at her home. She married the love of her life, CMSgt William Allen Moore, USAF Retired, on August 14th, 1986. Beverly was a devout Baptist and spent many years as a member of the choir at First Baptist Church of Universal City.

Beverly is preceded in death by her parents, Jeff and Georgia DeShazo. Beverly is survived by her husband, Allen, her daughter and her husband Misti and Paul, her step-children, Clint and Tammy, her sister, Mary, dear friends who are like sons, Fransisco (Paco) Torres and Alex Rios and her longtime best friend, Barbara and her daughter, Sherry. She leaves behind five grandchildren, Krislynn, Lauren, Vincent, Nicholas, and Savannah, as well as her great-granddaughter, Elizabeth, and three step-grandchildren Austin, David, and Cora, as well as numerous extended family members and dear friends.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00am at First Baptist Church of Universal City, 1401 Pat Booker Rd, Universal City, TX 78148 on the 23rd of April, 2022. A visitation opportunity will be available on the 22nd of April, 2022 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Schertz Funeral Home, 2217 FM3009, Schertz, TX 78154. Memorials may be given to the San Antonio Humane Society, American Lung Association and American Cancer Society.
