William Davenport

William Max Davenport passed away on May 19, 2022 in New Braunfels, Texas. He was born on May 31, 1945 in San Antonio, Texas to parents, Ethyl Felecia and Maxwell Osgood Davenport. William proudly served in the United States Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran.

William was preceded in death by his special love, Susan Davenport; parents, Maxwell and Ethyl Davenport; brothers, Joe Frank Davenport, James Steele Davenport and Howard Earnest Davenport; and nephew, Kevin Davenport. He is survived by his son, Chris J. Davenport of Selma, Texas; daughter, Kelley Davenport of Orlando, Florida; only grandchild, whom he loved so much, Addison Davenport; sister, Mary Jane Peck; nephews, Roy Maxwell Peck (always referred to William as his favorite uncle), Shelby Davenport, and Robbie Davenport; nieces, Julia Marie Lawrence, Randy, Rhonda, Rene, RaeAnn and Ren; as well as numerous friends.

The Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM on June 7, 2022 at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will immediately follow at 1:45PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
