On May 26, 2026, the Lord received our Dad, William J. “Bill” Bowers (Ret. SMSgt USAF) at the age of 91 years. Dad was born October 09, 1934 to William and Carrie Bowers in Helen, West Virginia. He married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Nancy Allison Bowers, on August 16, 1952. Dad and Mom were blessed to build a beautiful life starting with 4 children, Gayle Klein, Debbie Landry, Donna (Dave) Hewlett, and Greg (Christy) Bowers. The blessings continued as the family grew to 17 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren as well as great-great grandchildren. Dad was honored to serve and retire after 24 years of service from the United States Air Force. He went on to work until his second retirement with the Schertz-Cibolo School District.

Dad lived his life following the greatest command in the Bible, to love the Lord with his whole heart. This was evident by his wholehearted devotion to God, prioritizing Him above all else. Dad shared his faith with all he met as well as with his church family at The Country Church in Marion where he served on security and as a greeter.

He will be missed by all who knew him here on earth, but we know we will see him again. That is the promise that we have as Christians. Rest in peace Daddy! The angels are rejoicing!
