Virginia Leah Moore “Gin Gin”, 80, of Cibolo, Texas passed away on August 2, 2025 surrounded by her family.
Virginia was born to Stanley F. Moore, Sr. and Flora Powell Moore on May 30, 1945 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Virginia loved dancing, cooking, and her family, and not in that order. She would tell stories about dancing with her brother, Byron, at a local roller rink, and by the end of the song, people would stop skating just to watch them dance. She memorized recipes down to a grain of salt. Her meals would have you thinking you were at an exclusive restaurant, and she was the top chef. Virginia also enjoyed playing volleyball and softball. She was also an avid card player hosting card games for family and friends over the weekends, playing games like Bid Whist, Gin Rummy, and especially Poker.
Virginia leaves behind her older sister, Lydia Wilson Moore; younger brother, Earl Moore; five children, Lydia Moore, Stanley Moore, Crystal Moore, Rex and Marie Ikea-Moore, and Alan and Carla Moore. She also leaves behind twelve grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, three generations of cousins, four generations of nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley F. Moore, Sr. and Flora Powell Moore; sister, Yvonne Moore; and brothers, Stanley F. Moore, Jr., Gilbert G. Moore, and Byron D. Moore.
Virginia was a devout catholic, a mother and sometimes even a father, an advisor, a sister, a friend, a free spirit, and all around, a beautiful person. She is loved by many and will be missed by all.
