Victor Enrique Boyce

April 19, 1947 — July 9, 2023

Victor Enrique Boyce, SFC, USA (RET), of Ancon, Zona del Canal, Panama, was called home to be with the Lord on July 9, 2023. He was born on April 19, 1947, to Harold and Iris Mae (White) Boyce. Victor, the most loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather is survived by his wife, Maria Lilia; son, Michael, Daughter Tania (Yarnell) Rickett; grandchildren, Jelani, Alexia, Alexis, Jalan, Mykayla, Jazmyne, Jayla, Asia, Micheal, Ja’Mychael; great-grandchildren, Gia and Legacy; niece, Digna (Tom) Forest and Zenaida Douglas, along with a host of cousins, great nieces and great nephews. In addition, Vic also had the pleasure of having Christobal (Ruby) Banuelos, Maria (Fred) Sepulveda, Judith (Fernando) Reyes, and Miros (Louie) Rucobo in his life. Victor is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Norma Jean Boyce Douglas.

Once graduating school in Panama, Victor made his way to Brooklyn, NY and subsequently drafted into the US Army, becoming a naturalized US citizen. Vic is a Vietnam Vet and served his country as a Combat Infantryman and Instructor, served in various locations within Europe, Asia, and the US, and retiring from Ft. Hood, TX in 1992 after 21 years of military service.

Upon retiring from the US Army, Vic relocated his family back to Columbus, GA, worked for Columbus Consolidated Government and retired, once again, in 2012. After retirement, Vic relocated to Schertz, TX in 2012 to be closer to two of his grandkids. While living in Schertz, Vic became a member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, Schertz Citizens Police Academy, and volunteered time on JBSA-Randolph.

Vic had the personality and natural charisma to make friends no matter the situation; a great man whose impact will forever live on through his legacy. He was a selfless man whose passing leaves an unfillable gap in the hearts of those who love him. His ability to provide, support, sacrifice, forgive, and love will be forever engrained in all he knew.
