Vicente Quinene

March 4, 1945 — September 25, 2022

Vicente M Quinene, of San Antonio, TX, was called home by our Heavenly Father on September 25, 2022. He died peacefully, surrounded by his wife, his children and all his grandchildren.

Vicente (aka Uncle Ben) was born in Merizo, Guam to Jose & Ana Quinene. He grew up in the family home in Merizo, Guam with his 14 siblings.  As a a teen, together with his older siblings he helped maintain the family farm, by raising pigs and chickens.  He also helped with growing fruits and vegetables on the farm.  He worked at a bakery during his younger years, kindling his love for working in the kitchen.  He served in the merchant marines as a cook for 6 years.  He continued his career as a cook/chef for many years after.

At the age of 24 he met the love of his life, Pasita. They fell in love and got married on September 27, 1969 on Merizo, Guam. He often told stories of how he pursued her and it was an instant True Love. In 1970, they started a family, complete with his daughters Frances, Roseann, and Grace, and his son, Jose.  As a family they loved spending quality time playing cards, Left-Right-Center & bingo. Being a kind, dependable and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather was one of the most important virtues to Vicente, and he certainly did not disappoint when it came to wholeheartedly loving his family.  He loved his extended family, cousins, nephews and nieces.  He treated each one of them as his immediate family member.

In addition to his wife Pasita and children, Frances (Kenneth) Aukuso, Jose (Courtney) Quinene, Roseann (Felix) Anderson, Grace (Jason) Cage, and (Maryjane) Quinene is survived by his grandchildren Kenneth Jr (Chauntel) Aukuso , Kalani (Zachary) Gutierrez, Keanalei Aukuso, Jacob Quinene, Elijah (Madison) Quinene, Jasmine (Ezequiel) Quinene, Jordan (Elva) Anderson, Deion (Alona) Anderson, John Shepperd, Christian Cage, Jaxson Cage and Brooklyn Cage.  His great grandchildren, Taylor Quinene Shepperd, Khalia Correa, Silas Anderson and Khatalina Anderson.  His siblings, S.
