Schertz

Ursula Sue Taber, 87 years old, passed away peacefully at her home in Schertz on Saturday, April 13, 2024. Sue was born to James McLaren and Martha Elizabeth Dearman in Galveston, Texas on April 18th 1936.
Sue was a hell of a woman, and that would be an understatement. She was one in a million who had a one of a kind personality. Sue was passionate, strong, fun, peppy, vibrant, lively, religious, resilient, outgoing, and always the life of the party. Sue married her late husband James, in Feb 1954. They had three beautiful children together, James, Debra and Ginger. Sue was an air force military wife and stay at home mother. They were stationed in Alaska, several military bases in Texas and finally ended up at Randolph AFB thus retiring in Schertz. Sue was a social butterfly. She loved playing Bingo, going to the 'beauty shop' as she would call it, taking trips to Las Vegas and shopping. Sue loved the holidays and would go all out. Every Christmas she would spend days decorating her tree and buying the latest Hallmark Christmas ornaments. Sue was also a devout Catholic and attended Good Shepherd church until Covid 19 where it was no longer safe for Sue to attend. Sue lived a long and happy life filled with lots of family and love. Sue was a faithful, dedicated wife, and a wonderful mother who was there for her family to the very end. We are truly blessed for everything she did for us all and she will be deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband James (Jim) G Taber, her son James (Jimmy) G Taber Jr. her sister, 3 brothers, and her parents.  Sue is survived by her daughters Debra Pihota and Ginger Jackson, son in law Frank Pihota of Cibolo and sister and brother in law Teri and Bruce Bradley of Santa Fe, Tx. her grandchildren Jennifer, Michael, Stephanie, Lindsey, Jason, Miranda and Tricia and great grandchildren Joshua, Zachary, Kaydence, Zoey, Ashton, Sage,  Scarlett and Sereena.
The family would also like to thank Mike Cady who helped care for Sue whom she cared for like a son.God gave us all a gift when He graced this earth with such an unforgettable woman.
