Timothy Willis Jones was born on June 16, 1967, in Muncie, Indiana, the beloved fifth child to Curtis and Angie Jones. Timothy Jones was raised surrounded by a large and loving extended family that included many cousins, auntie (Louise Shannon), uncles, and devoted grandparents. Timothy was called to glory on December 18, 2025.
In 1993, at 26 years old, Timothy married Elissa (Trina). Together they lived in seven different places due to his service time in the military to include Kaiserslautern, Germany, where they lived and traveled for three and a half years. They built a beautiful home for their son Alijah I. Jones in Schertz, Texas.
Timothy was a proud father and a devoted husband. When he married Elissa, Tim promised her the world—and he truly delivered, taking her around the world and giving her a life full of love and adventure. He was overjoyed when Alijah was born, capturing the moment on video and being the first to see and hold him in the delivery room. From that day forward, he poured into Alijah, teaching him about life and guiding him to grow into a great man. He made sure his family never lacked anything, and he was a true best friend in every way.
Timothy proudly served his country in the United States Army for 23 years, retiring in 2011. He was deployed on several overseas tours to include Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Afghanistan where he fought for his country. Throughout his distinguished military career, he received numerous awards and commendations to include the Bronze Service Star for his dedication and service. He was a man of higher learning, earning a Bachelor's degree from Troy University and a Master's degree from the University of the Incarnate Word.
Timothy had many passions that brought him joy. He loved fixing computers, browsing pawn shops for treasures, and ordering and playing with his gadgets. But above all else, he truly loved helping people—it was at the heart of who he was. He also found great joy in training and playing with his beloved dogs, Petey and Rocky, who brought him immense happiness.
A man of great faith, Timothy always put God first in everything he did in life. His devotion to his faith guided his actions and shaped the compassionate, generous spirit he shared with everyone he encountered.
