Timothy J. Foti

d. February 26, 2024

Cibolo

On February 26, 2024, Timothy J. Foti passed away quietly at the age of 76. Tim was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Patti). He is survived by their children, Jason Foti and Adrienne Bebow with spouse Bruce; grandchildren, Timothy Bebow and Hollyn Bernal with spouse Henry; sisters, Lynda Rickun and Jennifer Neville; sister-in-law, Judith Stano; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Tim was a language arts and social studies teacher for 34 years at Shorewood Intermediate School, retiring in 2003. He was a Revolutionary and Civil War buff and traveled to many battlefields and towns over the years. Photography was his hobby and he photographed his travels with Patti to Central America and Europe.

Even though Tim's health suffered during the last two years, he continued to count his blessings and exude a positive attitude. A fellow teacher said, "Tim had a casual, caring style that was just what kids needed, especially those who were struggling personally or socially". His students knew that he loved Snickers candy bars and one student presented him with a giant 3-D candy bar which he proudly displayed on the wall of his classroom.

After retirement, Tim and Patti moved to Cibolo, Texas to be with their daughter Adrienne and her family.

Tim often spoke about his wonderful life with his beloved wife Patti. Their romance began in Junior High and continued until her death on October 17, 2022. They were married over 54 years and just as in Patti's favorite story of Philemon and Baucis, Tim and Patti are now one trunk with two different trees, their branches intertwined in eternal love.
