Obituary

Thomas Santos Tajalle, 63, of Schertz, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026. He was born on February 5, 1963, in Tamuning, Guam, to Mariano and Nicolasa Tajalle, who preceded him in death.

Thomas received his education through Old Piti Elementary School, New Piti Middle School, and George Washington High School. He was a true jack of all trades who could always find a way to fix, build, or improve just about anything. He had a particular talent for fixing cars and took great pride in his gardening. Thomas was a hardworking and resourceful man who was always willing to lend his knowledge and skills to those around him.

A devoted Catholic, Thomas cherished his family and the time he spent with those he loved. He will be remembered for the many ways he cared for and provided for his family, as well as for the lasting memories he created with them throughout his life.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Mariano and Nicolasa Tajalle; his maternal grandparents, Jose Camacho Santos “NgaNga” and Antonia Ada Santos; his paternal grandparents, Vicente Quinata “Bello” and Adela Magado Quinata; and his siblings, Alfonsina Rivera, Manuel Rivera, Mariquita Igor, Luis Igor, George Tajalle, Manuela Tajalle, Elisa Toves, Michael Tajalle, Peter Tajalle, Norman Mesa, and Antonio L. Cruz.

Thomas is survived by his children, Tamara Palomo, and her children, Esperanza and Sofia Melendez; Patricia Tajalle, and her children, Selene Diaz and Skyler Concepcion; ShawntaeJewels Tajalle, and her children, Jaycieon and Inayah; CandiceJade Tajalle Crisostomo, and her daughter, Jade; and ThomasJiles Tajalle Crisostomo, and his children, Leovonni and Avah.

He is also survived by his siblings, Benjamin and Doris Ignacio Tajalle; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who will cherish his memory.

He is also survived by and will be lovingly remembered by his special friend, Merilyn Babauta.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00PM -8:00PM, with recitation of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00PM, on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. 

Thomas leaves behind a legacy of love, family, hard work, and countless memories that will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will continue to live on through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and dear friends.
