Thomas A. Forward

December 13, 1965 — January 25, 2024

Cibolo, Texas

Thomas Alan Forward (MSgt, USAF, retired) of Cibolo TX, passed away on Thursday January 25 at home. Born in Lynn, MA on December 13, 1965 to Nancy and Richard Forward, he moved to Alamogordo, NM in 1973 where he resided until he joined the Air Force in 1988.

From a young age, Thomas loved everything “SPACE” from space travel to rocket ships to Star Trek. He was an extremely intelligent young man who dreamed of one day travelling the galaxies.

Thomas served 22 years in the US Air Force, retiring in 2009. While stationed in Bentwaters in England, he met and fell in love with Jacqueline Sayer and her two children Joseph and Amber Britton. They married in Ipswich England in 1990 and later went on to have two more children, Joshua and Daniel Forward to complete their family. Although accomplished in the USAF, the title that Thomas was most proud of was “Grandpa” to his 6 grandchildren. He wore that title well. He was one of the best Grandpas ever.

Thomas was passionate about model-making from a young age and carried that passion for years resulting in a huge collection of models, from cars to spacecraft. He was also an avid cat-lover, especially towards his favorites, Atom and Molly. But his biggest passion was his wife and family. They were his heartbeat.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Jackey, children, Joseph Britton, Amber (Amanda) Britton, Joshua Forward, Daniel (Erika) Forward. Grandchildren, Kevin, Eric, Thomas, Tyler, Connor, and Faith. Siblings, Nancy Newhall, Cathy Burnes, Teresa (Steve) Aylward, Richard (Tearsa) Forward and several nieces and nephews.

Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Richard Forward, his mother and Step-father Nancy and Carl Walker.
