Teresa Alvarado

Teresa Alvarez Alvarado, born on June 18, 1948, passed away on February 14, 2020, at the age of 71. Teresa enjoyed bowling, fishing, dancing, travel, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was diagnosed with kidney failure in July 1996 and started dialysis in February of 1997. In 2002, Teresa received a kidney transplant. Unfortunately, she lost the transplant in August 2017 and went back on dialysis due to kidney failure for a second time. In February 2020, she lost her fight with kidney failure. Teresa is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Elvira Alvarez; brothers, Antonio & Ernest Alvarez; sisters, Lucy & Bertha Alvarez. She is survived by her loving husband, Rudolfo V. Alvarado, Sr.; sons, Rodolfo Alvarado Jr. and wife Penny, and Ricardo Alvarado; daughters, Teresa Beebe and partner John Chaney III, and Tanya Alvarado; grandchildren, Brittney Beebe, Tyrone Ahin, Jr., Trevor Ahin, Clayton Alvarado, Trent Beebe, Taryn Ahin, Jayden Hicks, and Carlie Alvarado; great grandchildren, Liam, Lana, Loriah Cournoyer, and Delaney Skye Reeves (Ahin); siblings, Joe Alvarez and wife Nancy, Velia Leal and husband Marcelino, Robert Alvarez and wife Sandra, Samuel Alvarez and wife Barbara, Alicia Martinez, and Henry Alvarez. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24, 2020, from 5:00 PM to 9:00PM with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00PM, at the Schertz Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at 8:30 AM, at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. The following will serve as Pallbearers, Tyrone Ahin Jr., Trevor Ahin, Clayton Alvarado, Eric Nelson, Marcelino Leal Jr., Jamie Alvarez.
