Susan Sharpe

Susan Anne Sharpe, 56, of Schertz Texas passed away on August 10th, 2022 after a long struggle with cancer, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born in Schnectady, New York on November 11th, 1965 to Lionel and Anne Martel. She was married to Christopher Sharpe for 35 years and had two children, David, 23 and Michael, 22. She was a graduate of Plano High School and received a Bachelors’ Degree from Georgia State in Criminal Justice and a Masters’ Degree from Michigan State in Social Work, both Summa Cum Laude. She worked for the Georgia Bureau of Investigations, the Montana Department of Corrections and the St. Louis Public Defenders Office. She faithfully supported her husband’s 28 year Air Force career and volunteered extensively through numerous military affiliated associations. She is survived by her husband Chris, children David and Michael, Father Lionel, siblings Pauline, Paul, Kathy and Mary. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Anne. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Monica’s Catholic Church in Converse, Texas on August 16th at 2PM. Mass will be followed by a fellowship gathering at the Knight of Columbus Hall in Schertz Texas at 3:30PM. A graveside service will be held at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Cancer Research Institute in her name.
