Susan Lynn Moore passed away on November 22, 2020 at the age of 61 after a long battle with ovarian cancer. Susan was surrounded by her loving family in her home in Schertz, Texas. Susan, born on August 13, 1959 in Oswego, NY was Joyce and Jerome Dowd’s eldest child. Susan was a graduate of Northern Adirondack Central High School in Ellenburg, NY and then served in the Marine Corps, receiving an honorable discharge to care for her young daughter. Susan married Bill Moore on August 1, 1987, recently celebrating their 33rd anniversary.
Susan loved to read, clean, bake and visit friends and family but her favorite pastime was her grandchildren. Susan LOVED spending time with her grandchildren, they were her pride and joy. Susan was a frequent supporter of Lone Star Shih Tzu and Lhasa Apso Rescue of Texas, a consummate dog lover but especially her dogs and grand-dogs. Susan was always there to make you laugh with her dry wit and humor, and probably raised an eyebrow or two.
Susan is survived by her husband, Bill; her son Tim, his wife Stacey, their children Zac and Austin; her daughter Quinn and husband Rob; her son Drew, his wife Kristin and their daughter Harper; her sister Terry, spouse Ron; sister Denise, spouse Kelly; brother John, spouse Kathleen; and brother David, spouse Sharon. Susan is preceded in death by her father Jerry, her mother Joyce, and her beloved pets Ashes, Raider, Barkley, Gunner, and Emerson.
The Memorial Service will be performed at the Schertz Funeral Home on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 10 am with a visitation from 9:00AM - 10:00AM. A reception will immediately follow.
