Obituary

Mrs. Williams, 83, of Schertz, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 3, 2026. Born on July 16, 1942, she lived a life filled with love, family, friendship, and creativity.

Mrs. Williams will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. She found joy in life's simple pleasures and had a special gift for making others feel welcome and loved.

One of her favorite stories was how the love of her life, Joseph Williams, Sr., first captured her heart. After numerous drive-bys on his bicycle, Joseph finally found the courage to stop and introduce himself. Their love story began in 1959, and they were married in 1961. Together, they built a beautiful life and shared 40 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

In her younger years, she was an avid softball player who enjoyed both the competition and camaraderie of the game. Later in life, she discovered a passion for crafting and spent many happy hours creating handmade cards with her Stampin' Up! group. She especially treasured her role as a grandmother and loved watching her granddaughter, Emily, play volleyball and perform in dance recitals.

A lover of nature, Mrs. Williams had a special affection for hummingbirds, dogs, and frogs. Her home and garden reflected that passion and were filled with reminders of the creatures and beauty she so dearly loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Joseph Williams, Sr.; and her brother, Jimmy Lawson.

She is survived by her son, Joseph Williams II and his wife, Rhonda; her cherished granddaughter, Emily Williams; her sister, Jeanette Stewart; and numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.
