Stanley M. Pape

Stanley M. Pape, “Grandstan”, age 72, of Cibolo, Texas, passed away Friday, November 3, 2023. He was born on October 20, 1951 in San Antonio, Texas to Allie and Irene Pape.

As a child, Stanley enjoyed sports and working with his grandpa on the farm. Stanley was happily married to his wife, Debbie, for 52 years and worked almost 50 years in the automotive industry. He enjoyed bowling, especially 9-pin, and raising and racing pigeons with his friends in the Pigeon Club. He also loved cooking and spending time with his family and three dogs.

Stanley is survived by his wife Debbie; daughters Donna, husband Jeff; Stacy, husband Adam; mother-in-law Ruby Irle; grandchildren Ryan Price, Jacob Price, Lexi Howard, and Colin Howard; siblings Barbara Sanders, husband Alton; Roland Pape, wife Barbara; Evelyn Shook, husband Gary; and Beverly Pape; along with many extended family members and friends.

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, Allie and Irene, father-in-law, Wallace Irle Sr., sister Carolyn Crawford, and brother Michael W. Pape.

A celebration of life and remembrance for Stanley M. Pape will be held at Schertz Funeral Home on Friday, November 17, 2023, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.
