Sherry Ann Reid-Holmes

Sherry Ann Reid-Holmes was born on June 4, 1967, in Fort Dix, New Jersey, and peacefully entered Heaven on May 12, 2026, after a courageous four-year battle with breast cancer. Though our hearts are heavy, we find peace knowing she has finally attained her healing and is now resting in the presence of Jesus Christ, whom she faithfully trusted.

Raised in Newport News, Virginia, Sherry graduated from Denbigh High School, where she was crowned Prom Queen, and later attended Christopher Newport University. She dedicated her career to serving families and students as a Registrar at Randolph Elementary School, where her kindness and warm spirit touched countless lives. She was also actively involved in serving throughout her church and community, always carrying herself with compassion, faith, and a willingness to help others.

Sherry loved going to the movies, cherished her family deeply, and brought joy to every room she entered. Her unwavering faith, contagious laugh, and loving heart will forever be remembered by all who knew her.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Monee (Manuel) Henriquez, Jahvon Holmes, Jordan Holmes, and Brittney Robinson; her grandchildren, Shariyah, Arianna, Josiah, Zoe, and Markus; her parents, Isaic and Marisa Reid; her brother, Chris (Jillian) Reid; and her dear poodle and doodle, Ace and Faith, along with many loving family members and friends.

Though she is gone from our sight, her love and legacy will remain in our hearts forever.

A Visitation will take place from 5:00PM - 8:00PM on Friday, May 22, 2026 at Schertz Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will begin at 10:00AM on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Schertz United Methodist Church with interment to follow.
