Sheldon Christopher Johnson

Sheldon Christopher Johnson, a native of Cibolo, Texas, was born on October 14, 1989 in New Orleans, Louisiana, to the proud parents of Tyrone and Kristie Holliday-Johnson. He departed this earthly life suddenly, entering into eternal rest on August 14, 2025, at the age of 35.

Sheldon grew up in a family of faith. He was baptized at an early age by Bishop Paul S. Martin, Greater Saint Stephens Full Gospel Church, New Orleans, LA. As he grew in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, he united with New Creation Christian Fellowship, under the leadership of Bishop David and Pastor Claudette Copeland.

His educational journey brought him to Roosevelt High School, San Antonio, Texas. He acquired computer skills that enabled him to have a career as a Design Engineer. Sheldon was a nature lover with passion for the great outdoors. His hobbies consisted of camping, fishing, basketball, singing and dancing, and generally being the life of the party. He had a gentle heart, full of joy and laughter.

Family was the pride of Sheldon’s life. He leaves to cherish his memory, his one and only, beloved daughter, Zoie Elizabeth Johnson; a devoted mother: Kristie Holliday-Johnson (Cibolo, TX); father: Tyrone Johnson [Angelique] (New Orleans, LA); a precious sister: Lindsey Johnson (Cibolo, TX); two brothers: Tye [Marylin] Johnson (North Pole, AK), John David Williams (Dallas, TX); a beloved and devoted grandmother, Minister Mary Holliday (Schertz, TX); a precious aunt, Kecia Holliday (Schertz, TX); a host of cousins, one devoted, Christopher Walker; nephews, three devoted: Levi Johnson, Noah Johnson, and Keto McCullum; a host of friends; and fiancé, Francisca Reta Gonzales.

Sheldon will forever be remembered as a devoted son, father, grandson, uncle, cousin and friend. The love, laughter and warmth of his gentle heart will always linger.

A Visitation for Sheldon will be held at Schertz Funeral Home on Friday, August 29, 2025 at 9:00 AM with a Funeral Service to follow beginning at 10:00 AM. A Graveside Service will be held after the Funeral Service at Holy Cross Cemetery at 12:00 PM.
