?Sharon G. Nakamura was born in Alaska on January 19, 1964 and passed away on August 28, 2017, after a long and courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer.
Sharon was raised in a military family and lived in various states but spent most of her life in the San Antonio area. She resided in Alaska for 9 years.
She was a caring person who loved her family, friends and pets. She had a beautiful smile, which could light up a room. Sharon was a marvelous knitter and beaded jewelry maker. Her creations are a testament to her artistic spirit and talent.
Sharon is preceded in death by her mother, Jane Nakamura; step-mother, Martha Nakamura, and is survived by her father, Jim Nakamura; brother, Alan Nakamura and boyfriend, Steve Noratuk. Sharon will be missed by friends and family in Seattle, Los Angeles, Texas and Alaska.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 11:30AM in the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Ronald Windecker officiating.
