Sean Gabbard

Sean Francis Gabbard, age 37, left us unexpectedly on September 6, 2007. He was born on February 25, 1970 at March AFB, California. He is preceded in death by his father, William (Bill) Gabbard, Sr.; grandparents, Francis and Margaret Dixon of West Ireland and Andrew and Goldie Gabbard of Kentucky. Sean is survived by wife, Chris Gabbard; sons, Ryan and Adam Gabbard; mother, Maureen Bennett & her husband, Lee; parents-in-law, Carolyn and Dick Hamon; sister, Jackie Peters (Gary) of Luton, England; brothers, Bill Gabbard (Michelle) and Mike Gabbard (Francine); sister-in-law, Kelly Hamon and step-sisters, Michel Greer and Rebecca Bennett, all of San Antonio and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews of the U.S. and England. Sean served 13 years with the New Braunfels Police Department attaining the rank of Sergeant and was a 1988 graduate of Judson High School. Sean had a great sense of humor, a quick and ready smile and he never met a stranger. He will be deeply missed by all of us; we Love him so much. God Bless you Sean. Visitation is at Schertz Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 12 from 5:00 pm " 9:00 pm with a Memorial Service at 6:00 pm followed by a Rosary at 7:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 13 at 10:00 am at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 1065 E. Live Oak Rd., Schertz, TX with Monsignor Michael OGorman as the celebrant. Interment, with full police honors, will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 17501 Nacogdoches Rd. (F.M. 2252) San Antonio, TX.
