Scott Vap

December 29, 1956 — November 25, 2008

Scott Eugene Vap went to be with his family and his Lord on November 25, 2008, at his home in San Antonio TX. Scott was born on December 29, 1956, to Gaylen and Ann Vap in Ellinwood KS. He attended school in Uncas OK and graduated from Ponca City Senior High School, Ponca City OK, in 1975. Scotts education was extremely important to him. He started college at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa OK and transferred to Oklahoma State University in Stillwater OK where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology in 1988. Scott moved to San Antonio TX in 1990 to continue his education, graduating from St Mary's University with a Master's degree in Industrial Psychology in 1992. Scott then began his career with the federal government at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio TX. He was employed at the Air Force Occupational Measurement Squadron until he was forced to retire due to his illness. Scott was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Gayl Ann Vap. He is survived by his brother Tony & wife, Kym, of Ponca City OK and numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held at 3 PM on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel in Schertz TX. Memorial contributions may be made to cancer research or to those less fortunate.
