Sara Kimberlee Self went to be with the Lord Thursday, June 25,2026 in San Antonio at the age of 57.

Sara was born June 14, 1969 in San Antonio to Milton and Berta Woelfel. She graduated from James Madison High School in 1987. Sara married Kenneth Self June 14,1989. Sara loved to spend time with her family and loved going on vacations especially to the beach.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Berta Woelfel; and niece Courtney Woelfel.

Sara is survived by her husband, Kenneth; children, Michelle Bastemeyer, Stephanee Self, and Casey Self; grandchildren, Brittnee, Breeanna and Brooklyn Bastemeyer; great grand daughter Amelia Bastemeyer; brothers, Kevin Woelfel and wife Julie, Dwayne Woelfel and fiancé Kerrie Zeitler; sister-in-law Tammy Brown; nephews; Joshua Woelfel and wife Angela, Tate and wife Kara, and Austin Woelfel; niece Lindsey Woelfel.

Visitation will be held at Schertz Funeral Home Saturday, July 11,2026 between 5pm & 8pm. A celebration of life will also be Sunday, July 12,2026 from 1pm-4pm at the Schertz Civic Center.
