Samuel Batterson

July 1, 1942 — December 27, 2008

MSgt. Samuel Sam M. Batterson passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2008 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 66. He was born to Sheldon & Margaret Batterson on July 1, 1942 in Eldorado, Arkansas. Sam served in the United States Air Force and retired in 1983 and later went on to retire from Civil Service. Sam is survived by his loving wife, Judy Batterson of Converse; daughter, Kristin Batterson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brother, Walter Pitts of Oklahoma; sister, Maile Brock of Oklahoma; step children, Michael Kelly, Patrick Kelly & Wenda Kelly; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and numerous additional relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 1, 2009 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held at a later date in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
