In Loving Memory of Ruby Lee Simmons

August 20, 1931 – August 4, 2026

Ruby Lee Simmons was born on August 20, 1931, in Goldsboro, North Carolina, and was raised and educated in Camden, New Jersey.

Ruby proudly served three years in the United States Army. He later enjoyed a long career with the United States Postal Service before retiring. He also worked for the Camden City School District, including Riletta Cream School, where he was affectionately known by the children as “Good Buddy.”

Ruby loved his family dearly and took great pride in the generations that followed him. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Kim Lopez (Lewis); grandchildren, Damond Still and Danone Fauntleroy (Darryl); three great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Clara Mae Simmons; brothers, Willie and Harold Simmons; and sister, Gladys Simmons.

Ruby departed this life on August 4, 2026, at the age of 94. His love, strength, and devotion to family will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
