Ruby Burow

Ruby Rae Burow, 94, made the journey to her final and perfect home late on April 22, 2021. She went peacefully, from the home she shared with her son, accompanied by angels whose presence were palpable in the room. She loved, served, and shared life in the Schertz area with her husband of 62 years, Milton, until his passing in 2012. The best of mothers, she was so bursting with pride for her sons that she frequently embarrassed them by telling everyone their achievements. A true lady with a giant servant’s heart, she was the best example of a “home”maker and a dedicated hostess, always ready with a good meal, an even better dessert, and an always flourishing flower garden. From singing in the choir to being the communion steward, she served her Lord and His church in Schertz for many years. A determined fighter, she beat cancer in her 70’s and did her daily exercises and gardening up to her last days. A multi-talented artist, licensed beautician, and seamstress, she leaves many homes and hearts adorned with paintings, quilts, dolls, and clothing. Her clever hands showered us with beauty and her loving heart and sweet smile rained joy all around. She is now reunited with her beloved husband and son, Milton Ray. However, she leaves behind a legacy in her son, Mike; daughter-in-law, Beverly; grandson, Delbert; great grandchildren, Kathleen and Henry; great great grandchildren, Andrew and Allen; and sister Virginia. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021 at 11:30AM at Schertz United Methodist Church with interment to follow at Comfort Cemetery.
