Rosie Cruz

Rosie G. Cruz, born on October 7, 1936, in Luling, Texas, passed away on January 22, 2016, in Kirby, Texas, at the age of 79. Rosie was a bookkeeper in her early years for various companies; and partnered with her husband in several successful businesses. Most recently, she worked as a team member at Taco Bell where she made many friends. In her spare time, she enjoyed attending school and sporting events with her grandchildren; and meeting with friends at church and at the Kirby Senior Center. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Concepcion Cruz; parents, Cayetano and Amelia Garza; and granddaughter, Mandi. Rosie is survived by her daughter, Carmen; son, Carlos and wife Lori; and grandchildren, Victor, Phoebe, Samuel, Daniel, and C.G. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2016, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM, at Schertz Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016, at 10:00 AM, at St. Joan of Arc, in Kirby, Texas. Interment will follow at Selma Cemetery #1.
