Rosa Carrizales Rangel

January 22, 1941 — April 18, 2026

Cibolo

Rosa Carrizales Rangel, 85, of Cibolo, Texas, ascended to heaven on Saturday, April 18, 2026, surrounded by family and all of those who loved her tremendously. Rosa was born in Laredo, Texas, January 22, 1941 to Salvador and Maria Carrizales, and was the third-oldest of eleven children.
Rosa met her husband Raul in Laredo, Texas and they married on April 1, 1962. They had just celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary.

Rosa was a special and talented woman to those who knew her. Her humor and wit were unmatched, and she could be found solving word-find puzzle books, listening to Mexican polka and Tejano music, recounting exciting and funny anecdotes about her life and graciously preparing home cooked meals for her family. She was also a great fan of sports, football and basketball in particular, and game shows. Raul's military service in the U.S. Air Force employed them across the U.S. and the world, which included residencies in Canada and the Philippines. They had seven children in six different locations. She poured her heart into raising her children and supported raising her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was continuously proud of her family and their achievements and always aspired to be kind and generous to those around her. Rosa lived a long and fulfilling life and will be missed dearly.

She is survived by her husband Raul; son Raul Arnoldo; daughter Rosa Ana Devries, and her husband Ross; son Rene Alejandro, and his wife Aileen; daughter Raquel Angelica Marroquin and her husband Jaime; son Roberto Antonio; daughter Rebecca Alicia, and her wife Christina; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; sister Guadalupe C. White; sister Aurora Ortiz; sister Juanita Burkhart; sister Julia Martinez; brother Jose Carrizales; brother Jesus Carrizales; brother Cristobal Carrizales; and countless friends and associates. She is preceded in death by her son Ricardo Armando, parents Salvador and Maria Carrizales, brother Salvador Carrizales II, sister Maria Litman, and sister Marta Lara.

The rosary will occur at Schertz Funeral Home (2217 FM 3009, Schertz, TX 78154) Friday May 1, 2026 at 7:00 pm.
