It is with extremely heavy hearts that we share that our amazing husband, father, and grandfather, Ronald Ridge, passed away on February 29, 2020 and is resting peacefully in Heaven.

Family was Ronald’s true joy, and he was so proud of his large and loving family.  He is survived by his devoted wife, Elaine, and beloved children Ronald Jr. (Candice), Lori Gorhum (Jeff), Ryan (Taylor Beth), Lindsay (Jaclyn), Randall (Laura), Russell (Carter), and Jay.  He loved his grandchildren so much: Christopher, Dawn, Riley, Anna, Callen, Weston, Levi, Avery, Landrie, Hadley, Kai, Quinn, Logue, and Kallie. He is also survived by his siblings Bryce, Lisa, Connie, and Jeff and his mother-in-law, Trudy Phelps.  He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Shirley, and his father-in-law Jim Phelps.

Ronald enjoyed spending time with his family every chance we had, camping and traveling with Elaine on new adventures, playing softball and golfing. He enjoyed fishing, but always claimed that there were no fish wherever he happened to be. He was a proud Marine Veteran and a die-hard Cubs fan club member.  He had a true zest for life and never knew a stranger. He will be truly missed and leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter to sustain us.

Visitation will be held from 9AM - 11AM on Friday, March 6, 2020 at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel with the Funeral Service beginning at 11AM.
