Ronald Marshall Daniel

Ronald “Ron” Marshall Daniel, 86, of Augusta, ME, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family in Cibolo, TX on July 31, 2025. Born on May 28, 1939, in Augusta, Maine, Ron was the son of Emile and Julienne Daniel. He proudly served 24 years in the United States Navy, followed by 15 years with the U.S. Postal Service. Ron was known for his strong work ethic, quiet strength, and steady presence.

A lifelong New England Patriots fan and passionate Liverpool FC supporter, Ron never missed a game. He loved running in his younger days and found comfort and purpose in his Catholic faith.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Carol A. Daniel (née Gilks), and their four children: Lawrence Daniel, Lisa Banes (Jon Schaefer), Trina Daniel (Brian Branch), and Stefanie Cortinez (Roy Cortinez). Ron was also a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren and their spouses. He is also remembered by his brothers, Raymond Daniel (Pat) and Dennis Daniel (Ruth), along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Emile and Julienne Daniel; his older brother, Donald Daniel, and his daughter-in-law Wendy Daniel.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

A Memorial Service will be held for Ronald at 1:00PM on Monday, August 11, 2025 at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel.
