Roberta Lynn Rawls, affectionately known as Robbie, was born on January 23, 1957, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She passed away on November 18, 2025, in Schertz, Texas, after her battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. Robbie was a vibrant force of nature whose kindness and creativity touched the lives of everyone she met.
A graduate of Samuel Clemens High School, Robbie poured her heart into many pursuits throughout her life. In her younger years she was well-known for her volunteer work with the Girl Scouts and her generous spirit shone brightly at the Schertz Humane Society, where she dedicated her time to helping animals in need.
Growing up, Robbie possessed a deep affection for nature, evident in her love for fishing and water skiing on the lake. She found joy in both playing and coaching softball, and her passion for horseback riding and showing horses was a cherished part of her life's adventures.
Among her proudest accomplishments were her stunning flowerbed creations that graced the La Cantera Golf Course, leading to her feature on the cover of Golf Digest Magazine. Her artistic flair caught the eye of many, including the San Antonio Express News, which celebrated her beautiful poinsettias. As the owner and operator of a flourishing nursery, Robbie supplied plants to numerous businesses, including Walmart, SeaWorld, HEB, and Fiesta Texas, enriching the city with her green thumb. Yet, her most treasured achievement was raising two remarkable sons and witnessing their journeys to fatherhood.
Robbie leaves behind her beloved children, Troy Lehman (Pam Stewart) and Sean Lehman (Meagan Richter), who will forever carry her lessons in love and resilience. She took immense pride in her grandchildren, Dylan Lehman, Torri Amo, Emma Lehman, Harper Lehman, Michael Stewart, and Madisyn Casteneda, as well as her great-granddaughter, Gracelynn Amo, who brought her unending joy. Robbie is also survived by her siblings, Richard Duck and Scott Duck, who held a special place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her beloved spouse, Donald Ray Rawls, and her parents, Raymond and Ricky Duck. Their memories and love are woven into the very fabric of the legacy she leaves behind.
Roberta Lynn Rawls will be deeply missed, but her spirit remains alive in the hearts of those she touched. Her life was a vibrant tapestry of love, connection, and creativity, and she will be remembered for the light she brought into this world.
