Robert "Bob" W. Strange

Robert W. Strange passed away on October 28th 2023 at the age of 86.  Born November 2nd, 1936 in Richmond, VA to the late John M. and May Lee Strange, he is survived by his wife of 64 years Barbara L Strange, daughter Pamela and spouse Jim Kizer,  son Robert W Strange Jr and spouse Melissa.  He is also survived by 3 brothers John M Jr, William H, and Michael Strange, and sister Edith K. Whiteside.  Known as Bob, he served a total of 23 years in the US Military to include both Army and Air Force service..  He was a founding father of the Buffalo Valley Youth Association started in 1974, and an active member of many other civic organizations; including the Kiwanis Club and the Citizen Advisory Committee of Schertz.  He was always willing to help others.  He loved animals, especially dogs, was an avid golfer, sportsman, and enjoyed writing poetry from his life experiences.

A private family service will be held at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on November 17th, 2023.
