Robert Eugene “Bobby” Nemec, 78, of Cibolo, Texas, passed away on August 8, 2026. He was born on July 6, 1948, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Steve Nemec and Mary Zdanksy Nemec.
Bobby was a graduate of Marion High School. He dedicated his professional life to serving his community through the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Department. His Catholic faith was an important part of his life, and he was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Selma, Texas.
Bobby was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He shared many years of marriage with his beloved wife, Cynthia A. “Cindy” Nemec, who remained by his side throughout their life together. Family was an important part of Bobby’s life, and he treasured the time he spent with those he loved.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia A. “Cindy” Nemec; his children, Ronald Nemec and Leidimar Nemec, Michelle Nemec, and Jessica Ballard; and his grandchildren, Jeffery McLamore, Jaedyn McLamore, Ricky Nemec, and Clara Nemec.
He is also survived by his sister, Bernadette Haecker, and her family; his brother, Delvin Nemec and wife Donna; his brother, Edvin Nemec and wife Barbara; and numerous extended family members and dear friends.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Mary Nemec; his brothers, Jerry Nemec, Daniel Nemec, Steve Nemec, Delvin Nemec, and Edvin Nemec; and his sister-in-law, Rosie Nemec.
Bobby will be remembered with love by his family and friends for the life he shared with them and the many memories he created along the way. His presence will be deeply missed, but the love he gave to his family and friends will continue to live on in their hearts.
