Robert Hickernell

SMSgt Robert B. Hickernell, U.S. Air Force Retired, passed away on May 18, 2020 in Schertz, Texas surrounded by his family at the age of 68.  He enlisted in the Air Force 1 September 1971 and retired on 31 December 1997.

Robert is survived by his loving wife JoAnne and children James R. Hickernell, ET1 Stephen J. Hickernell and wife Jessica, Tara N. (Hickernell) Volpenhein and husband Joey, TSgt Alexander S. Hickernell and wife Samantha; grandchildren, Tyler, Taylor, Alexis, Loralei, Addison, Bryanna, Kaitlyn, and Jayson; sister, Marguerite Hickernell and her husband Larry Witanowski; brother, David Hickernell and his wife Beth Modica.

He was a loving Husband, Daddy, and Opa.

A Funeral Service will be held at 6 PM on Thursday, May 21, 2020 in the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel.
