Rickie Rowe

Rick was born in Laramie Wyoming to Parents Janice C. Borah and Roland R. Rowe. He grew up in Gunnison Colorado with his mother, step father, Tracie Borah, and two brothers, Perry and Robin. In Colorado, Rick's love of fishing, skiing, and hunting, was born. Rick graduated from Gunnison High School in 1977 and exceled in track and field holding many state records. Rick met his wife, Lynne, in Lake City Colorado where he was a fishing guide and she was a waitress. They married August 22, 1982. They moved to Grand Junction Colorado where father, Roland Rowe and step mother Donna lived. Rick followed in father's footsteps and began a career in the airlines. Rick was hired by Continental Airlines in 1984 and has spent his career with Continental and United Airlines after the two companies merged. Rick and Lynne started their family having Tara Lynne October 23, 1986 and Brandon Roland December 26, 1989. Eventually, Rick was promoted to Supervisor and moved to San Antonio Texas. Rick was introduced to surf fishing in Port Aransas, Texas with Roland, Donna, and Donna's parents. It became a family past time and Rick's happy place. Rick was a family man preferring to spend his time with his wife and children. He was loyal and loving, quiet and private. Steady and dependable. He was deeply loved by his entire family.  A Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday May 20, 2021 from 4pm to 7pm at Schertz Funeral Home.

In Lieu of flowers the family has request that memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society.
