Phillip Sterling Hull went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 22, 2014, after a yearlong battle with ALS. He was 52. Phil is survived by his wife Sara; their three children Rebecca, Robert, and Abigail; his parents John and Jean Hull of Duluth, Minnesota; and his siblings Denver, John, Greg, and Karen. He graduated from Duluth High School and then served in the US Air Force for four years and the Reserves for another thirteen. Throughout his adult life he served 29 1/2 years in fire and emergency services in many roles, from volunteer to instructor. He had a passion for flying and was a certified pilot, which led to many unique job experiences. He accepted Christ at a very young age and was a member of Northeast Bible Church in Garden Ridge, Texas for more than twenty years. Visitation to be held at Schertz Funeral Home Sunday, January 26 from 4-8p.m. Memorial service to be held at River City Community Church on Monday, January 27 at 10a.m. with a reception immediately following.
